Yes, all detectors meet UL 217 (smoke) and UL 2034 (CO) standards. The base station is also UL listed for use as a system controller.

What happens when the detector battery dies after 10 years?

The sealed battery is non-replaceable. You must replace the entire detector. The unit will chirp periodically (low battery warning) for about 30 days before dying.

Yes, the battery operation makes it suitable for RVs. However, ensure the base station has a stable Wi-Fi connection for app alerts; otherwise it functions as a standalone interconnected system.

Smoke detectors should be ceiling mounted for best performance. CO detectors can be wall mounted (at least 5 ft high). The SC07 is designed for ceiling mount; wall mount is possible but may reduce smoke sensing efficiency.

How do I test the units?

Press and hold the test button on any detector for 3 seconds; it will alarm and the signal will propagate to all detectors. The base station will also sound and send a notification.
